Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014

Ribfest 2014Rib lovers are gearing up for Cornwall’s most popular food festival, Ribfest! From July 25th to the 27th, Lamoureux Park will see an expected 65,000 visitors, musicians and ribbers from from far and wide, eager to sample some great tasting BBQ. This year’s Ribfest is expected to be bigger better than before. Open from 11:00 am to 11:00pm, the festival is jam-packed with entertainment fit for the entire family.

“This is a great event that attracts people from out of town to Cornwall every year.” Peter Gault, Chair.

Once again, six ribbers from all over USA and Canada will be here to display some of their finest BBQ. Crowd favourites such as Chop Shop BBQ, Crabby’s BBQ Shack, Fat Boy’s BBQ and Ribs Royal will be in attendance as well as the unique Smokehouse Bandits, Texas Rangers and Pig Kahuna Island BBQ. In addition to this fine line-up of rib teams, there will also be a variety of venders selling a wide range of tasty treats and drinks. There will be a beer tent open from 11:00 am to 11:00pm each of the festival days. Gluten free food is also available.

“We’re really trying to bring in something for everyone,” said Ribfest Spokesperson Colleen Carter. “We’ve looked at the profile of people and tried to gauge their interests.”
