Winners of Team Cornwall Photo Contest Announced

Thursday, April 24th, 2014

The results of the Team Cornwall Photography Contest were announced during the organization’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, April 23rd.

The contest ran from the beginning of March to mid-April, and several dozen submissions were received.

We want to thank everyone who took time to submit photographs,” said Team Cornwall Chair Gilles Latour. “The submissions were quite impressive. Through this contest, we were able to see just how beautiful our City truly is and the amazing amount of talent we have.”

The submissions were judged by volunteers from the Team Cornwall Board of Directors.

It was hard to choose only 3 winners out of 57 submissions, as all the works were quite amazing. We do not claim to know which photographs are the best, only which are the most relevant to our vision of Cornwall. If it were possible, we would award first place to every single one of our contestants,” said Ana Verbik, Team Cornwall’s Marketing Coordinator, who spearheaded the contest.

There were several photographers who caught the judges’ attention, including:

•        Claude Bissonette

•        Lee Ladouceur

•        Tim Ouimet

•        Diane Picard

•        Jason Setnyk
